Judy Friedman
Judy is the founder and principal of Audacious Philanthropy, advising philanthropists, foundations, and nonprofits on merging tactical philanthropy and social entrepreneurship to accomplish their goals.
Judy is deeply committed to engaging with organizations that support alignment of philanthropic capital, impact investment, community empowerment and equity initiatives. In this capacity, she served on the founding board and as EVP and General Counsel of PhilmCo Media, and currently serves as General Counsel of the Impact Guild, Vice President of Safe Place for Youth, and on the Advisory Boards of American Impact Capital, the Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the University of Pennsylvania, the Center to Advance Racial Equity Policy at the RAND Corporation and Partners for Change, supporting the work of Heifer International.
Prior to forming Audacious Philanthropy, Judy spent 15 years as Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs at Saban Capital Group, an affiliated group of public and private companies comprised of multiple classes of real estate, private equity, and venture capital investment companies, primarily in the media, entertainment, and telecom industries, as well as global transmedia brand management, private foundations, and a family office.
Judy holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School, a B.A. in American Civilization and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an executive certification from the Center for Social Impact Strategy at the school of Social Policy & Practice.
